Proton Radiotherapy , Patient -Based Dose Verification and Treatment Safety

Join your colleagues for lunch and an informative symposium; learn about
the latest developments in particle therapy and IMRT treatment safety.
Symposium will feature several speakers from the newest proton radiotherapy
centres in Europe, sharing their experiences and plans related to such topics as:
• pursuing a particle therapy centre,
• technical features of the proton radiotherapy centre,
• commissioning the proton radiotherapy centre,
• optimizing clinical protocols for Pencil Beam Scanning with treatment planning,
• research initiatives in proton radiotherapy.
Presenters to be from among various institutions or developing a proton
radiotherapy centre. The new IBA - equipped proton radiotherapy centres
in Europe will be:
• Westdeutsches Protonentherapiezentrum Essen (WPE), Germany;
• ATreP (Agenzia Provinciale Per la Protonterapia), Trento, Italy;
• Centre de Protonthérapie d’Orsay (CPO, Institut Curie), France;
• Proton Therapy Center Czech s.r.o. (PTC Czech), Prague, Czech Republic.

IMRT verification and dose analysis from a Radiation Oncologists perspective”,
provided by Universitätsmedizin Göttingen.
