ACCREDITATION
The PREVENT - Prediction, Recognition, Evaluation and Eradication of Normal Tissue Effects - conference is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.
The PREVENT - Prediction, Recognition, Evaluation and Eradication of Normal Tissue Effects - conference is designated for a maximum of (or 'for up to') 11 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA.
CURRENCY
The currency in Belgium is the EURO.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
The official language of the meeting is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
POSTERS
The poster area will be in the conference venue and therefore posters may be viewed at any time during conference hours.
INSURANCE
The organiser does not accept liability for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Participants are strongly advised to take out their own personal insurance policies.
In case an unforeseen event would force ESTRO to cancel the meeting, the Society will reimburse the participants the registration fee minus 15% for handling charges. ESTRO will not be responsible for the refund of travel and accommodation costs.
LUNCHEONS AND REFRESHMENTS
The registration fee for the conference includes lunch and coffee breaks.

How to reach Brussels
Brussels International Airport
Located 8 miles (13 Km) northeast of the city center.
Airport Train
The train station is located on the lower level of Brussels International Airport (1st floor). There is a train shuttle service from the airport to the North, South and Central stations of Brussels. The shuttle runs at least every 20 minutes and takes approximately 20 minutes. It operates between 5:30am - 12:20am from the airport and 4:45am - 11:10pm from the city. The cost is around Euro 3,00 . Buy your ticket before getting on the train to avoid a surcharge fee.
Railways
Eurostar
The Eurostar train links London and Brussels in 1h51 minutes. Trains depart/arrive at the Brussels South Station (Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid) and depart/arrive at the London St. Pancras International Terminal . Up to 9 daily departures. It also stops at Ebbsfleet/England. For the Eurostar train, you need to reserve your seat in advance, you can do it through: Rail Europe or the Belgian Rail Road or Eurostar.
Thalys
The Thalys train links Paris and Brussels in 85 minutes. There are 25 Thalys trains departing daily in each direction between Paris and Brussels. Thalys roundtrip fares start at $96 (2nd class). Trains depart/arrive at the Brussels South Station (Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid) and depart/arrive at the Paris North Station (Paris Nord) or at the Charles De Gaulle Airport. It also links Brussels to Koln and Amsterdam in 2h30 minutes. The Thalys train stops also at the following Belgian train stations: Liege-Guillemins, Antwerpen-Centraal, Mons, Charleroi-South, Namur, Bruges and Gent-St-Pieters.
For the Thalys train, you need to reserve your tickets in advance: Rail Europe or the Belgian Rail Road or Thalys.
Taxis are available at taxi stands or at hotel entrances.
Taxi fare is displayed on the meter, including the service charge.
Minimum fare: 2.40 Euro daytime; 4.40 Euro evening.
Average price per KM (0.62 miles): 1.23 Euro in Brussels; 2.46 Euro outside Brussels.
